Spoofing, first of all we have to understand what spoofing is:
Spoofing simply means to hid your details, it may be on the internet or in your real life also.
Before any discussion about spoofing we should completely understand, what spoofing is:
Spoofing simply means to hide your information. it could be of different types and of different forms such as :-
- Ip spoofing ( hiding your ip address)
- Email spoofing (hiding your email id and it could also be used with spamming)
- Blind spoofing (it was used in previous ages when OSs were not so intelligent)
- Real life spoofing (usually used for hacking details of bank account or business secerets)
and many more...
Before doing any lawful effort against spoofing it must be kept in mind that it restricts of freedom which is the basic right of every citizen.
Above mentioned forms of spoofing may be used for the destruction of any organization or any person using its details. eg. if someone hacks the details of any person's bank account details then it could be very easy for the hacker or spoofer to use his details on his behalf and use his account. many examples have been quoted in this regard.
IP spoofing is used for hiding your ip address or mac address from which one cannot be located or traced back. once the originator become anonomus he could do any sort of demage to any one he want.
Spoofing with spamming is used now a days we receive many unknown msgs they can b different types of advertisement or sort of malicious codes which may harm our computers and may steal of important information. and originator of all this stuff is not located and move freely which should not be happen.
But putting all these aspects aside we consider our freedom first. eg if someone is producing any material which is against govt. he can be located very easily and punished, which should not be done. every person have the right to speak watever he wants, if he is writing against govt instead of punishing him govt should find the reason why is he doing so?
But unfortunatly this is not done over here. so in my opinion spoofing should not be bann, if it is bann then govt should provide full assureabilty that no action would be taken against any such person, who is speaking the truth. and caught the spoofers who exploit this loop hole of the law.
